Author Sue Lawson on ABC RadioLike many other authors, Sue Lawson has worked in a variety of careers. She’s been a school teacher, bookseller, swimming teacher, and for more than 12 years, a radio announcer with both commercial stations and ABC Radio, Victoria. Sue was renowned for her warm and insightful interviews.

In 1989 Sue became the ABC’s first female breakfast announcer in Australia.

Sue’s skill and passion for interviewing, combined with her love for books and reading, make her the ideal facilitator for your next event. Sue keeps the conversation flowing and accessible to the audience, while always retaining the focus on the interviewee. She is able to keep the interviewee relaxed while at the same time asking thought-provoking questions.

Sue’s radio and interviewing background also make her a sought-after MC for events, whether literary, fundraising or student focused.

Sue conducts regular sessions for the Geelong Regional Library Corporation, and for the past five years has facilitated sessions at Australia’s only non fiction literary festival, the Word for Word National Non-Fiction Festival, in Geelong. Sue is now a member of the Word for Word Advisory Committee.
